Certification gap analysis¶
Every requirement across the four standards, what state IDM's evidence is in against it, which controlled document carries that evidence, and whether CRGI's scope of works for it is discharged. Rev 4, 20 September 2026 — supersedes the 24 July 2026 baseline.
What changed at Rev 4
Rev 3 assessed the WPS, WPQR, welder qualification and coverage registers from the July 2026 workbook. At Rev 4 all four were rebuilt from the primary documents — the six WPS files and all 16 welder certificates, read individually — and published as live registers. That found five errors in the July workbook, so four rows of this analysis changed: BS EN ISO 3834-2 §5.4 and BS EN 15085-2 §4.1, §4.3 and §4.4, plus Existing Evidence items 5 and 6. The continuity figure is restated from the verified weld dates. WMS-G-03 was issued, which moves §4.4 off Partial.
Commercially: coverage on WPS-IDM-SS02-FW falls from four qualified welders to two, and a third procedure joins the single-welder list. CRGI's scope position is unchanged at 51 delivered, 28 delivered-conditional — the errors were in the July source and Rev 4 corrects them.
Two columns, two questions
Status is IDM's position against the requirement. Nothing here is marked compliant and nothing ever will be — conformity against BS EN ISO 3834-2, BS EN 1090-1/-2 and BS EN 15085-2 is the certification body's determination.
CRGI scope is a different question: whether the work CRGI was contracted to do for that requirement is finished. Delivered means nothing further is owed by CRGI. Delivered — conditional means CRGI's deliverable cannot be completed without an input only the named party can give. The two are deliberately not merged: a manual that is written and awaiting the coordinator's signature is delivered work, and a requirement that is not yet met.
The evidence IDM already held¶
The 14 items inventoried from IDM's own archive on 24 July 2026, and the controlled document that now does each job.
Where the controlled master lives
The controlled master is the workbook held on the IDM server —
IDM_Welding_Certification_Gap_Analysis_Rev3_CRGI_2026-09-20.xlsx, which carries the
Scope Completion schedule in full. What is published here is a controlled view of it.
Where the two differ, the server file governs.
