WI-06 · The monthly routine

About half an hour. Missing it is what creates a continuity backlog.

  1. List every BS EN ISO 9606-1 continuity confirmation falling due in the next month. Sort the welder qualification register (WMS-D-03) by Continuity due and read off the top; cross-check against the continuity and prolongation records (WMS-C-07) on the IDM server. Rows with no continuity date are the historic and lapsed tranches — they need a retirement decision from the RWC, not a confirmation.
  2. Send that list to the Responsible Welding Coordinator.
  3. The RWC signs the confirmations, and the signing is recorded in the welding activity log (WMS-E-13).
  4. Check the activity log for anything still open from last month.

A period with no entries is a finding

The activity log is the evidence that coordination happened. An empty month does not mean nothing needed doing; it means nobody recorded it. The current overdue continuity position is on the gap analysis, which is kept current — this instruction deliberately does not quote a number that would go stale on the page.
