8. Inspection and NDT personnel

Personnel carrying out visual and non-destructive testing are qualified to recognised certification schemes. IDM engages a sub-contract NDT organisation (Axis NDT) for surface-breaking and volumetric techniques. Copies of NDT operator qualification certificates are held and their validity checked. The minimum qualification for NDT operators is EN ISO 9712 Level 2; all NDT procedures used are signed off by an EN ISO 9712 Level 3 inspector.

Controlled copy. The controlled master of every document in this system is the file held on the IDM server in the welding management system folder structure. This portal is a controlled view of it. Where the two differ, the server file governs.
