14. Identification, traceability and quality records¶
IDM maintains documented systems for identification and traceability of welding activities — production plans, job/stage cards, weld locations, NDT procedures and personnel, consumables, parent material (type, cast number), repair and temporary-attachment locations, and traceability of welders and WPSs to specific welds — enabling a full document pack (weld map, welder qualifications, consumable certificates) on completion.
Welding-related quality records are held electronically under the client/job number and include requirements/technical reviews, material and consumable certification, WPS/WPQR, calibration certificates, NDT procedures/reports and personnel qualifications, welder qualifications, dimensional reports, and records of repairs and non-conformances. Records are retained for a minimum of ten years unless otherwise specified.
